3 New firmware has been provided over the air (OTA) , which will include the following main features:
1. Enhanced Black Level:
Increases the contrast ratio from 1000:1 to at least 2200:1 and provides separate Enhanced Black Level switch toggle settings on each image mode.
2. 24 FPS:
Most movies are filmed at 24 frames per second (FPS). To eliminate 3:2 pull down judder and to preserve the purity of the original image, the new 24 FPS feature will accept high-definition sources at 24 FPS to display movies exactly as the director intended.
The AWOL Vision developing team has developed the 24 FPS and the enhanced black level features for the LTV-3500 model successfully. Now, they are working on implementing these features on the LTV-2500 as well.
3.TURBO MODE FOR GAMING:
Twice as fast as Game Mode, AWOL Vision Turbo Mode design offers the lowest input lag for smooth gaming experience, allows you to explore smoothly in open world games with 15ms 4k@60Hz and 8ms 1080P@120Hz input lag
(The keystone feature will be disabled in Turbo mode)
The firmware update is free. However, a special RND remote control is required to finish the TI DLP and MCU upgrade. The cost is $50 including shipping (The remote Is the same one used to update the 3D feature or Enhanced Black Level Beta Test). An instructional video will be provided for self-updating. A paid service will be provided as an option if users need live tech support to complete the update.
