As demand for immersive viewing experiences in private, commercial and professional spaces rises, AWOL Vision's new 150-inch Fresnel PET Daylight ALR screen addresses a long-standing weakness of large-format projection: maintaining contrast, brightness and image uniformity at extreme image sizes under real-world lighting conditions. By scaling proven Fresnel optical structures to 150 inches, AWOL Vision aims to enable true large-format viewing in (day)light — without sacrificing brightness or image consistency.

Precision-driven optical performance

Manufacturing this new screen size requires exceptionally precise control when developing the microscopic surface structures. At the heart of the design is a precision-crafted Fresnel layer combined with advanced light-controlling coatings. This combination selectively reflects projector light while effectively suppressing ambient light from above and the sides. The result is a noticeably increased perceived contrast, preserved shadow detail and improved midtone clarity — even in relatively bright rooms.

The screen itself is built on an optical PET substrate chosen for its dimensional stability, clarity and durability. That makes it ideal not only for high-end home theater installations but also for commercial and professional environments where long-term flatness, scratch resistance and environmental resilience are critical.

Designed for a wide range of applications

While home theater remains a primary focus, the modular construction of the new screen also supports flexible mounting options on walls or in frames. This makes it an extremely versatile display solution for showrooms, boardrooms, educational spaces, exhibitions and immersive installations — applications where LED walls are often costly and conventional projection solutions reach their limits due to ambient light.

Seamless integration with UST projection

The new 150-inch screen was developed in parallel with AWOL Vision's ultra-short-throw projector range, including the newly introduced flagship Aetherion Max. This ensures precise optical alignment, consistent performance and simplified installation.

Both the 150-inch screen and the Aetherion Max UST projector will make their European debut at ISE 2026 in Barcelona (Level 0 – Stand 5Q300), taking place from 3 to 6 February 2026.
