FAQ
AWOL Vision offers three main types of projector screen solutions:
• Cinematic Screens: ALR screens specially designed for ultra short throw projectors. The wall-mounted version offers a gain of 0.6 dB and is made from eco-friendly BlackGrid TPU HBSP. The floor-rising version achieves a gain of 0.8 dB thanks to HBSI TPU material.
• Daylight Screens: ALR-optimized indoor projection screens equipped with Fresnel-PET technology to adapt to various lighting conditions. With a maximum gain of 1.5 dB (at 100″), they deliver excellent image quality even in bright rooms.
• Matte White Screens: These versatile projector screens are compatible with all projector types (long throw, short throw, UST). They offer a gain of 1.3 dB and are made of durable PVC – ideal for flexible use in different room sizes.
The ALR technology specifically reflects the projector's light towards the audience while simultaneously absorbing disruptive ambient light. This keeps the colors vibrant and high in contrast. This technology is ideal for UST ALR screens and home theater screen installations in bright environments.
Yes – a high-quality projector screen significantly improves brightness, color accuracy, and contrast compared to projecting onto a simple white wall. For large projection screen TV setups or a true home theater experience, a specially designed projector screen is essential.
